Theresa May vows to crackdown on Christian persecution around the world as she delivers passionate Easter message saying Britain will stand up for religious freedom.
Theresa May has shared an impassioned Easter message standing up for religious freedom and offering support to persecuted Christians around the world.
The Prime Minister condemned the persecution of Christians and said 'we must stand up for the right of everyone, no matter what their religion' to follow their beliefs.
Her speech comes after more than 200 people were killed in a 'targeted attack on Christians' in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday.
Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn used his Easter message to say Christ's experiences as a refugee are 'still familiar to us today', and the current migration crisis is a 'moral test' for politicians.
