Welcome to another blog from Gideon 300 Ministry. In this post, we will be looking at the different types of trading floors found in the Bible. You probably may or may not have heard about trading as a term, however, this is not new - you can read about it in the book of Revelation 4:10: “The twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say.” To understand trading, you must come to realise that the kingdom of heaven operates like a business. Here is a scripture that adds clarity to this statement.
Matthew 13:44-46: “The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found and hid again; and from joy, over it, he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking fine pearls, and upon finding one pearl of great value, he went and sold all that he had and bought it.”
While the above is an insight into your concept of trading, I want to draw your attention to what trading is: the exchange of something you are willing to give up for something you wish to have in your position. Where-ever trading takes place, trading floors exist.
With this in mind, you need to be aware of some ground rules regarding trading, so that if you choose to trade, you can understand that what you have traded is generally non-refundable. This is because there are times when you will not get any returns on what you have traded, as well as there are also cases where the exchange is unequal.
What is trading from a biblical point of view?
The biggest trade took place at Calvary when Jesus Christ of Nazareth exchanged his life for ours:
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life, (John 3:16).
This exchange therefore establishes trading as the kingdom of heaven’s barter system.
The different types of trading floors
There are different kinds of trading floors - some Godly and some demonic. An example of a Godly trading floor is the earth, where we trade our seed by sowing in the earth, and we reap a harvest later.
An example of a demonic trading floor is seen through Jezebel. Jezebel was the daughter of Ichbaal (the King of Tyre), and she was married to Ahab, the King of Israel. During her reign, she used the mastery of manipulation; control; domination and witchcraft, so that she could gain control of Israel’s religious system.
Trading is a biblical principle that is still active. As children of YHVH, we are to be equipped with the knowledge on how to trade; the benefit of trading on the Godly trading floor; and learning how to get off the demonic ones.
